Business is not between companies or teams; it’s between people.

I DO

- I understand goals. I value project objectives and align teams to meet the expectations with efficiency and precision. Objectives shift depending on the scenario - sometimes it’s about speed of delivery, other times product quality. It might be cutting costs while keeping the project on track, or prioritizing features to satisfy customers.

- I communicate across all levels. Whether engaging with C-level executives, engineers, sales teams, customers, or marketing professionals, I speak the language of each stakeholder to ensure alignment and drive results. People are different. Throughout my career, I’ve had only a few setbacks—but those experiences taught me how to tackle challenges and made me stronger and wiser.

- I close deals. I closed high-value deals, successfully negotiating and executing 7- and 8-figure business agreements, managing complex enterprise deals and strategic partnerships.

- I build and manage teams. I’ve successfully built and led cross-functional geographically distributed teams from the ground up, managing groups ranging from 4 to over 300 engineers with a focus on collaboration and innovation.

- I deliver projects. I manage teams to deliver complex projects on time and within scope, balancing technical excellence with strategic business priorities. Cloud-based or on-premises, IoT, Fintech, Hospitality, Retail, or VoIP — I’m not a top-notch expert in every area, but I know how to get the job done by relying on my teams.

- I foster engineers. I’m passionate about mentoring and developing engineering talent, helping individuals grow their skills and advance their careers. I’m proud that many of my former team members now work across the globe—some at companies like Walmart, Panasonic, Shift4 and Meta, while others have become successful entrepreneurs.

I DO NOT

- I do not micromanage. I believe in empowering teams to take ownership of their work. Micromanagement is only applied when absolutely necessary, as it undermines trust, efficiency, and individual growth within the organization.

- I do not overpromise. I set realistic expectations to maintain trust and deliver consistent results. Overpromising can damage relationships, strain teams, and compromise long-term success.

- I do not let my teams wasting time and budget, owercomplicating solutions. Having been on both sides, I know engineering can burn through time and resources, while customers might lean too heavily on engineering—or have unrealistic expectations. I know how to find the balance. In the end, our job is to make customers happy. And by customers, I mean not just end users, but also top management, investors, and other stakeholders.

My Principles

- Trust is non-negotiable. Your word is your bond.

- Empowered Delegation. Delegate authority, but own the responsibility.

- Celebrate Individuality. Don’t change people; empower their strengths.

My Career Journey

My journey in software engineering started in my third year at university when I joined a team developing a real-time disaster diagnostic system. We used advanced acoustic-emission technology to detect structural failures in real time—a groundbreaking concept back then.

This wasn’t just an academic project; it was my first exposure to how software engineering can solve real-world problems. That experience sparked my passion for technology and innovation, shaping how I approach challenges and driving my career in IT forward.

Since 1996, I’ve built a career delivering projects for high-tech enterprise companies and startups across the US and Europe. With 25+ years in software engineering and 20 years focused on technical innovation and leading diverse teams; we developed scalable solutions and built collaborative environments that get results.

I’ve held key roles in business development, project management, and engineering leadership, working across sectors like enterprise software, smart city IIoT, fintech, sports and hospitality solutions. I’ve led cross-functional teams, managed multi-million-dollar projects, and navigated complex tech landscapes to deliver solutions that meet business goals.

In 2023, I completed the Berkeley VC Executive Program at UC Berkeley, sharpening my strategic and entrepreneurial skills. This program gave me deeper insight into venture capital, startup scaling, and investment strategies, helping me bridge technology and business growth.

My family

My family is my strongest source of support, backing me in both my personal and professional endeavors. They play a key role in motivating me to push forward, helping me strive for continuous improvement and new accomplishments.
